ORIZON Privacy Policy
Jaemin_Han (the “Developer”) values your privacy when you use ORIZON (Android package com.orizon.www, the “App”) and complies with applicable laws and Google Play policies. This Policy explains what information the App collects and how it is processed.
This Privacy Policy applies to the ORIZON app published on Google Play by Jaemin_Han. Store listing titles may differ by country or language; they refer to the same app. (Former name: ORIZON_Noscroll)
Free users may be shown Google AdMob rewarded ads. If a user watches an ad to the end, short-form control and tab blocking will be temporarily disabled for 5 minutes. No ads are shown to ORIZON Pro subscribers. We do not use Google Analytics.
1. Information We Collect
The App may require sign-up and sign-in and may collect and process the following information.
1) Information collected at sign-up and sign-in
The App supports the following sign-in methods.
(1) Email sign-in
- Email address and password (stored in encrypted form)
(2) Google account sign-in
- Email address, name, and profile photo provided through Google account authentication (if set on the Google account)
- Authentication tokens required for Google sign-in
The App does not access your Google account password. Sign-in is verified only through Google’s authentication process. Google’s Privacy Policy also applies to information processed through Google.
Account information is used only to keep you signed in, sync settings across devices (when provided), and identify the user. It is stored and managed securely through Google Firebase Authentication. Firebase is Google’s authentication infrastructure, and the Firebase Privacy Policy also applies.
2) Information processed through Accessibility Service
The App uses Android Accessibility Service to determine whether a short-form screen (for example, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, TikTok Lite, Facebook Reels, Facebook Lite, Snapchat, Reddit, X, KakaoTalk, and similar) is shown while you use other apps. Supported apps and features follow the in-app settings.
In this process, the App may temporarily analyze on-device the foreground app package name, on-screen UI structure and layout, and limited visible text/descriptions needed only to detect short-form surfaces.
Accessibility permission is used only for short-form detection and control, and for closely related usage-management features (for example, control modes and optional daily usage-time limits). Before requesting the permission, the App presents an in-app disclosure of purpose and scope and obtains your consent.
Information processed via Accessibility is not sent to external servers and is processed in real time only on the device. However, if you submit control feedback within the App, structural notes of the screen (such as tree summaries) may be stored on our servers to improve quality. The App does not collect or store personally identifiable content such as messages, passwords, payment details, or contacts, and does not build advertising profiles.
3) Information processed through Usage access
The App uses the Android "Usage access" (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) permission to check the usage time and foreground status of apps installed on your device (apps shown in the launcher).
This information is processed only on the device to improve the accuracy of daily total gates and session settlements, and to provide the app-specific usage time screen. It is not sent to the server or shared/sold to third parties (such as advertising networks).
Before requesting the permission, the App discloses what is collected, its purpose, and the non-transmission policy, and obtains your consent. You can revoke consent at any time by turning off ORIZON in your device's [Settings > Apps > Special app access > Usage access] or by clearing the App's data.
4) App settings information
Values you configure—such as controlled apps, control intensity (mode), daily usage-time limits, and specific time blocks—are stored locally on the device. These settings are not sent to the server.
5) Information collected when you contact support or send feedback
- Inquiry type, title, content, and name/nickname you voluntarily provide
- If you are signed in, account identifiers needed to handle the request (for example, user ID or email)
- Optional in-app control feedback (structure notes). We do not build advertising profiles from this.
Support and feedback are used only to reply and improve the App, not for advertising or marketing.
6) Payment and subscription information
Paid products such as ORIZON Pro (annual subscription, lifetime purchase) are processed through Google Play Billing. Payment-method details (for example, card numbers) are handled directly by Google; the App does not collect or store them.
The App may process purchase-verification information provided by Google Play that is needed to confirm and sync subscription status (for example, product identifiers, expiration status, and purchase tokens). Such information may be stored on the server linked to your account.
Refunds, receipts, and other payment details are governed by Google Play policies. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your Google Play subscriptions/purchases, so you must cancel them separately in Play if necessary.
7) Device and app information when signed in
When you are signed in, we may store device model, OS, app version, online status, last active time, sign-up time, and Pro status (if applicable) in Google Firebase Realtime Database to operate presence / service status.
8) Focus stats
When signed in, in-app progress such as achievements and focus scores may sync to Google Cloud Firestore.
9) Crash reports (optional)
The App may include Firebase Crashlytics. Diagnostic logs (including device model) may be sent to Google when the App stops. You can turn this on or off at any time in Settings → Legal under "Crash reports".
Default setting: In the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and Switzerland, collection is off by default and is only sent if you turn it on. In other regions, it may be on by default for app stability and bug fixing, and can be turned off immediately in the same setting.
We do not use Google Analytics. Advertising SDKs and advertising IDs are only used for the ads section below.
10) Security and policy updates
- App Check (including Play Integrity): tokens to reduce backend abuse
- Firebase Remote Config: delivers short-form detection policy to the device. It is not advertising measurement.
11) Ads (Google AdMob)
When a free user tries to temporarily unlock a blocked feature (once every five times), the App may show a Google AdMob rewarded ad. Short-form control and tab blocking will be temporarily disabled for 5 minutes only if the ad is watched to the end. Detailed blocking like Search or Home may remain active. If the ad fails to load, the unlock will not start. ORIZON Pro does not show these ads.
When showing ads, Google may process the advertising ID, device information, IP address, and ad viewing history in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. This information is used to show ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud.
The Developer does not build advertising profiles from screens analyzed via Accessibility, app usage time, accounts, or support inquiries/feedback, and does not share such information with advertising networks. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
2. How We Use Information
Collected and processed information is used only for the following purposes:
- Providing short-form content detection and control
- Applying personalized settings such as your control rules and usage-time limits (on-device)
- Providing app-specific usage time and assisting with daily total / session settlements (Usage access, on-device)
- Receiving and responding to support inquiries
- Confirming paid products (ORIZON Pro annual subscription, lifetime purchase) status and providing benefits
- Maintaining app stability and fixing bugs (crash reports per regional defaults and your setting, and feedback you submit)
- Showing Google AdMob rewarded ads to free users, and temporarily disabling short-form control and tab blocking for 5 minutes if the ad is watched to the end
Accounts, screens viewed via Accessibility, app usage time, feedback, and focus stats are not used for advertising, marketing, or sale. Google AdMob processes information like advertising IDs needed for ads. The Developer does not sell personal information.
3. Retention and Third-Party Disclosure
- Account information (email, password, Google authentication data, etc.) is stored in Google Firebase Authentication for identification and sign-in and is managed with appropriate safeguards (including encryption).
- Purchase-verification information needed for subscription status may be stored on the server linked to your account; payment methods are handled by Google Play.
- Support inquiries are retained for the period needed to reply and operate support, then deleted.
- Screen-analysis information processed via Accessibility is not sent to servers and is processed only on the device in real time. Control feedback (such as screen structure notes) you submit is retained for quality improvement purposes and then deleted.
- App usage time checked via Usage access is not sent to the server and is processed only on the device.
- Except where required by law, collected information is not provided to third parties. Google processes Firebase and Play services as processors within the purposes above.
- Information stored on the server, such as account, subscription status, focus stats, presence, and feedback, may be processed on Google infrastructure (e.g., Google Firebase) outside your country of residence to provide the service.
- If you use Google sign-in, Google processes authentication-related information under its own Privacy Policy.
- Crash reports follow Google Crashlytics retention while collection is enabled.
- Rewarded ads for free users are processed by Google AdMob, subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
- You can delete your account in the App: Settings → Legal → Delete account (after sign-in and re-authentication). Without the App, follow account & data deletion.
- Uninstalling the App alone does not delete account data stored on Firebase servers. Cancel a Google Play subscription in Play if you still have one.
4. Notice Regarding Accessibility Permission
In accordance with Google Play policy, we clearly disclose why Accessibility Service is used.
The App uses AccessibilityService to implement its core features: automatically detecting short-form screens and helping you leave them. It is used only to determine whether you entered a short-form surface and to help you step away based on your settings. It is not used for other purposes such as unauthorized personal-data collection, advertising, or disclosure to third parties.
Before requesting Accessibility permission, the App shows an in-app prominent disclosure of purpose and scope and lets you agree or decline. If you decline, you may still use some parts of the App, but features that require Accessibility (such as short-form control) will not work.
You may revoke the App’s Accessibility permission at any time in your device’s Settings → Accessibility. If you do, short-form control will stop working.
4-2. Notice Regarding Usage Access Permission
In accordance with Google Play policy, we clearly disclose why Usage access permission is used.
The App uses Android Usage access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) to check app-specific usage time and manage daily totals and session settlements. This information is processed only on the device and is not used for advertising, sale, or disclosure to third parties.
Before requesting the permission, the App provides an in-app disclosure regarding the purpose, scope, and non-transmission policy, and allows you to agree or decline. If you decline, you may still use some other parts of the App, but app-specific usage time tracking and related daily total features may be less accurate or not work.
You may revoke the App's permission at any time in your device's [Settings > Apps > Special app access > Usage access].
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Change or reset control rules and personalized settings at any time in the App
- Revoke Accessibility permission at any time
- Revoke Usage access permission at any time
- Change or turn off crash reports at any time
- Reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalization in your device settings
- Delete your account in the App or via the deletion page linked above
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information
- Contact us with questions about personal-information processing
EEA/UK users may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
This Policy may be updated due to changes in law, policy, or App features. When we change it, we will provide notice in the App or on this page.
